If self-worth is an issue you struggle with, being ‘extra’ is something you fear. You’ve made yourself small and wedged yourself into ill-fitting settings and situations to accommodate others. The act of addition seems hazardous. “Don’t push it” has been your way of doing life. “Yes, and” is a supplement that will come to you when I feel the weekly newsletter needs an ‘extra.’ It will be, in part, a reminder to you that taking up space isn’t taking up too much space.
The “Yes, and” brand/logo is the peacock. Think you know a peacock, and then boom: that tail. Is the tail a lot? You should hear its call. The peacock is extra if extra were a bird.
Below are some other things to consider about the Thursday post. No pressure to get to them. The point isn’t even the content, but the point is to remember you can spill over the boundary you’ve created for yourself from time to time.
